Project Loved One is a program that was established by the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office and adopted by the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office, in an effort to provide services to persons who suffer from neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or any mental impairment.
The service is free of charge to the public and will not only assist local law enforcement, but any law enforcement agency that may come in contact, with a person who has previously registered for the program. This service is available to all age groups.
The program was designed to assist any person or family with a loved one who for any reason may become lost or wonder away from where they are supposed to be. A family member of the person, or a concerned adult, can contact the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-460-5457 to schedule an appointment to register their loved one. All registrations will be conducted by appointment.
Once an appointment is scheduled the individual will be fingerprinted, photographed, and a detailed summary of their medical history, and emergency contact information will be obtained.
This information will be kept on file with the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office in case the person becomes lost while traveling or wonders away from their residence.
If you have any questions concerning the program, you may contact Detective Mathew Barrett at 337-460-5457.
